Glamour Spotlight: Ninja #3 (Looking Back)

I’ve been working on a new Ninja glamour for most of this week, since I didn’t like how the purple-gold particle effects on the new Hyperconductive Kannagi clashed with the Metallic Silver on my old one. The task has actually proven to be far more difficult than I would have anticipated. I have a look that I like, but not one that I’m in love with, and for Ninja, any new glamour has to be perfect for me to really consider it “finished.”

Throughout the process, I keep coming back to an old look that I don’t plan to use again, but that I’m still fond of in a nostalgic sense. So, since I don’t have anything new, I’ll show off something old!

Glamour Components
Head: (none) | Body: Augmented Ninja Chainmail (Jet Black Dye) | Hands: Replica Allagan Gauntlets of Striking (Jet Black Dye) | Legs: Augmented Ninja Hakama (Jet Black Dye) | Feet: Replica Allagan Gauntlets of Striking (Jet Black Dye)

As per usual, I’ve included the dyable versions of the Allagan stuff where appropriate here. this look, using the original Striking pieces, was my glamour for a good chunk of 2.4 (and I went back to it in 2.5 for awhile, too). Sometimes I used different colors for it (Pure White or Metallic Silver), but the general look remained the same.

Of course, I’ve complained about the Ninja Chainmail before, and in the end, the only way I really like it is in Jet Black, which has the normal “slimming” visual effect on the muscle plating. I’ve always liked the Ninja Hakama, though—particularly for the little knife belt—but it’s pretty difficult to use with anything but the Chainmail. I was trying to find a new use for it, which is what had me revisiting this look in the first place.

Honestly, looking at the lovely Nexus glow in the last picture has me strongly considering just glamouring over my Hyperconductive Kannagi with it, and building a glamour around that one instead. But I’ve never really been a big fan of glamouring over my Zodiac/Anima weapons, since I like displaying the results of all the time I’ve put into completing them.

Hopefully, I’ll find the last piece of the puzzle that I’m looking for to get my new glamour sorted out soon. In the mean time, I’m going out of town next week, so posts will resume on Friday (aside from maybe some small things I might schedule over the weekend—I’m not really decided on that yet).
