Stormblood Announcement & Glamour Spotlight: Healers #12

We did get new info on Stormblood, FFXIV’s next expansion today, including confirmation that the expansion will focus on Ala Mihgo and the Garleans and that we’ll be getting “multiple” new jobs, one of which seems to be Red Mage, judging by Yoshida sporting a Scarlet Witch t-shirt on stage (much like he wore a Batman shirt for Dark Knight and a Golden Gun shirt for Machinist at the 2014 FanFests). Additionally, we’ll be seeing updates to the battle system including adjustments to the way we set additional actions (though details were light in supply) and changes to less useful abilities. You can see the teaser trailer below!

The real meat of the info probably won’t really be here until the FanFest in Tokyo, though, so there will probably be more to talk about then! So far my predictions have tracked okay, but I’m excited to see what else we learn in over the next several months.

Until we’ve got more info, though, here’s a new glamour!

Glamour Components
Head:
(none) | Body: Star Velvet Himation of Healing (Jet Black Dye) | Hands: Star Velvet Long Gloves of Healing (Jet Black Dye) | Legs: Light Steel Subligar (Jet Black Dye) | Feet: Replica High Allagan Thighboots of Healing (Jet Black Dye)

Over the last several days I’ve been getting my healer re-geared for use in 3.4, which meant making the new i250 stuff, since it won’t be getting Scripture gear for about 6 weeks yet. I hadn’t really intended to use the Himation for glamour, but I did decide to fiddle around with it for awhile. My favorite thing about it is that the main part of the body stays white (it’s closest to Snow White, really, but still white!), which makes it really great for looks in various colors.

I had trouble finding boots and gloves that I liked with it, but after trying the Long Gloves in Jet Black, I found I really liked them. The boots proved to be much trickier, though. At first, I was using the Griffin Leather Boots of Healing in Snow White, but the profile wasn’t quite right on them. I didn’t care for the Hemiskin Open-Toe Boots or most of my staples, either. I can’t actually remember what prompted me to try the High Allagan Thighboots, but I think the accents on them work quite well alongside all of the jewelry and the like on the Himation.

With the Astrologian changes in 3.4, I’m playing that much more again, and I’m definitely really happy with the way this look “feels” for that, though it works well enough for both Scholar and White Mage, too, I think.

I’m also low-key running around with the Bunny Chief Crown glamoured to my headpiece because for some reason they actually look kind of neat with the body. I can’t really explain it, and neither can Alahra:

Now, my playtime got interrupted by the FanFest Keynote Address, so I’m going to get back to doing things! I should be finishing my i240 Anima for SCH today!
