Like I mentioned last time, the caster glamour I put together over the weekend didn’t keep. I liked it quite a bit, but it just didn’t sit well with me for Alahra. I also found myself missing the glamour before that pretty quickly: I’m still way too fond of the Star Velvet Bottoms to let them go apparently. I didn’t want to just go right back to that look, though: over time, the Hempen Camise had started to bug me just slightly. It had never been enough of a problem that I thought to change my glamour, but once I was in a spot where I knew I was going back to at least some elements of it, I decided to experiment a little.
Glamour Components
Head: Reading Glasses (Jet Black Dye) | Body: Miqo’te Separates (Jet Black Dye) | Hands: Star Velvet Long Gloves of Casting (Jet Black Dye) | Legs: Star Velvet Bottoms of Casting (Jet Black Dye) | Feet: Archaeoskin Halfboots
More or less, this is a 2.0 version of the glamour I had prior to playing around with the Eastern Lady’s Togi. I could have kept most of it the same, but I felt like the hint of purple from the Serpentskin Bootlets felt out of place, and the Reading Glasses seemed to be a better fit with the Miqo’te Separates than the Elegant Rimless Glasses I was using before. (As an aside, there are actually several glasses models I like aside from those two—they just clip through Alahra’s bangs!)
Paradoxically, the Separates seem less vulnerable than the Hempen Camise to me, and I think that’s what sold me on them for the updated version of the look. The overall profile is much more along the lines of what I prefer for Black Mage, though, and getting back to it even after just a few days of running around in the Togi has felt really nice.
Like the first iteration of this look, I suspect this one’s going to last awhile. We do have new gear coming in 3.5, though, so who knows if something will catch my fancy.
