We’re just over a week from the release of Patch 3.5, and my normal compulsion to update my Ninja glamour is in full force. I’ve been busy fiddling around with tank stuff (and gotten nowhere, as is normal), but in between bouts of griping about tank armor, I’ve been messing with the Iga Ningi again, too. I’ve had a few glamours since the last time I used it, all of which I wanted to be less “stuffy” than that last Ningi glamour. I’m still fond of all of those looks, but it’s probably inevitable that I feel like coming home to something Ninja-specific.
Glamour Components
Head: Scintillant Circlet of Scouting (Royal Blue Dye) | Body: Iga Ningi | Hands: Griffin Leather Bracers of Scouting (Jet Black Dye) | Legs: Lady’s Knickers (Black) | Feet: Expeditioner’s Thighboots (Jet Black Dye)
I’ve used all of the individual pieces here before, and most of them alongside the Iga Ningi, of course. The main new element is the use of the Griffin Leather Bracers as opposed to the Serpentskin Bracers from the last Ningi glamour or the Replica Allagan Gauntlets of Striking from the Ningi glamour before that. The Bracers are quickly becoming a Ninja staple for me, which is good. I don’t have a lot of gloves in general that I really like for Ninja glamours, and the Griffin Leather ones are the perfect sort of neutral that they can work with a lot of things.
And as I sit here writing, I realize they’d probably work really well alongside the Ningi in Pure White…
I just changed my glamour mid-post, kind of. I’ve been looking for a better pair of gloves and boots for my inaugural Ninja glamour more or less since I started this blog. It’s somewhat amusing that the gloves I needed have been around since 3.0 and it took me until the tail end of the expansion to realize it. (The only change from the above listing, other than the dye change for the top, is the natural swap to the white Lady’s Knickers).
But that’s the way of these things, sometimes! There’s a good chance I won’t keep this glamour for too awful long—most likely on Tuesday next week, I’ll have the dyeable version of the Shire Emissary’s Jacket, and I’ve wanted to use it for quite some time. I doubt I’ll be able to resist a new glamour for it (and I already have a few possibilities in mind). I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten this puzzle solved, though. If I could only ever have one glamour, it would undoubtedly involve the Ningi in Pure White and it feels good to finally get the update to the look that I’ve been looking for this past year.
